Liquid Church, a non-denominational bible-based church based in New Jersey, hosts Baptisms at each of their church locations twice a year, giving church goers an opportunity to “proclaim their faith in God and Jesus”. Baptisms traditionally are celebrated within the first year of a child’s birth. It is a tradition of indoctrinating someone into the same religion and beliefs of their family. At Liquid, baptism participants are not infants. More often than not, participants at Liquid Church’s Baptisms are full grown adults who have found spirituality and fulfillment after experiencing their different journeys of life.

Baptism Sunday is an emotional celebration of life. We hear stories of drug addictions, domestic violence, suicide, and other moments of darkness that people might experience in this world. Then we hear the testaments of lives turned around as others embrace their faith and their relationship with spirituality. Whether or not you are a follower of Christ, Baptism Sunday at Liquid is a powerful experience of vulnerability and authenticity.
